Under Milan's tutelage, I was able to make a giant step forward when entering the world of music production in a short amount of time. His focus and unflinching attention to detail in a live setting, as well as in the studio environment , inspired me to become a more well rounded audio engineer. From student to professor: ACC’s Milan Sretenovic follows beat of his own drum

I took Milan’s Audio Engineering I class. The concepts he presented were straightforward. He made time as an instructor to encourage all of his students, regardless of varying degrees of previous technical experience, to get comfortable with the mixing board and other equipment. I am inspired by his journey from Serbia to his current career as an instructor at ACC.

I am a former student and love Milan's approach. I will continue my dream in music.

Never in my life did I imagine I would be doing live sound. When I took my first audio class with Milan, I remember thinking that I would never be able to grasp the concept; thankfully I was wrong. Milan is incredibly supportive, patient, and encouraging as a teacher. He’s there for you inside and out of class, and is always happy to answer questions. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as his student and am thankful for the opportunity to take multiple classes from him.

As student, intern and client of Milan, his technique and ability to mix is quite remarkable. He knows how to make a room sound great and make an artist feel confident and comfortable very quickly with their experience on the stage or in the studio. Milan was formally my Live Sound 1 teacher at ACC but quickly became a mentor and someone to cheer me and celebrate my progress. He is one of the most patient people I have ever had the pleasure of being around, willing to explain concepts multiple times, countless ways in order to ensure that not a single person gets left out in class. Minja is everything I've ever hoped for in a professional sound administrator. Minja has worked for me since 2013 and has repeatedly demonstrated his excellent knowledge of the board, room, mics, vocal blending, etc. His skillset is unmatched. The pace and transition of our worship service requires timing and focus. Minja is very attentive throughout our service, responding to cues, making live adjustments of the sound to meet any impromptu requests and/or changes in songs, soloists, mics, etc., even in the midst of a performance. Minja is a valued member of our audio team and does a phenomenal job, week after week.

Milan Sretenovic, a tremendous teaching colleague of mine at ACC, has a well-deserved reputation as the finest live sound engineer in Austin. His work with my ACC Jazz Ensembles has been impeccable, both in running sound for our performances and from the recording booth. A jazz ensemble requires a different approach than other bands and ensembles, and Milan really gets to the heart of what makes our sound work.
